So what is hydraulics?
Hydraulics is a science that deals with the laws of equilibrium and the laws of fluid motion, which flow under pressure.
When compressing a fluid, it is possible to exert great pressure and create a great force that will move a wide variety of systems more easily.
Liquids and gases consist of large numbers of molecules that move randomly in all directions. At any given time, lots of molecules collide with each other or with a surface, and the force they exert in this collision creates a fairly uniform pressure.
How does hydraulics work?
Very simple - the fluid flowing in the hose creates a high pressure. The greater the compression, the more the fluid gains force that propels it forward. With that force, the fluid can lift heavy loads, move machines, and perform a variety of difficult operations with great ease. Naturally, the more difficult an operation is, or the heavier the load, the more fluid must be compressed.
Hydraulics is an important factor in all aspects of mechanical, linear, and rotary propulsion.
The advantages of hydraulics
are expressed in transferring high-power energy and converting it into rotary and linear mechanical work. With the help of hydraulics, all mechanical movement processes can be regulated and controlled automatically.
Using hydraulics
in all areas of industry, agricultural machinery, automotive, construction, infrastructure, aviation, and marine vessels.
Aizinberg Hydraulics Department
